We should append to the list of “trends to watch to create greater marketing success” our own list crafted to create success. I developed this list almost 30 years ago when I was still a kid. I may’ve changed them slightly (I never wrote them down, so I’m quoting from memory, being what it is). In retrospect, the underlying tenets these aphorisms, when I have followed them, have made a significant difference; not only on my level and degree of success, but—I like to think—on my impact on humanity in general. Without further ado, emoeba’s Five D’s of Success:
Dedicate to the Craft
Do the Work
Drive to the Goal
Deliver on the Promise
Demand Respect
I guess they’re fairly self-explanatory. Maybe I’ll revisit this some day and flesh them out a little.
